Giving Back To Our Local Communities

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Drysdale Properties has always had a strong commitment to giving back to the communities we serve. A significant part of that commitment is the Drysdale Community Foundation. This foundation is run, directed, and funded by our selling agents, not by our management team.

At the close of each transaction our agents make a minimum commitment of $10. Many of our agents commit to giving even more. We collect these contributions throughout the year. In the fall of each year, we ask our agents to nominate local organizations that would benefit from a cash grant, and the grants are awarded in February of the following year. To date, we have donated over $600,000 to dozens of community support organizations, and we look forward to helping more in the future.

Without Permission

Without Permission's mission is to bring human trafficking education and prevention training to the Central Valley and to provide life restoration to survivors through a Crisis Navigator. The Crisis Navigator program provides trauma-informed mentors to the survivors of sex trafficking/exploitation. The Crisis Navigator team to date has served over 887 survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation in the Central Valley.

Redwood Empire Food Bank

The Redwood Empire Food Bank offers assistance with free food resources, serving over 142,000 children, families, and seniors every year. Each individual has their own unique reason for needing food assistance. The organization distributes food through their own programs and their partner organizations in Sonoma, Lake, Mendocino, Humboldt, and Del Norte counties. They work on the front lines of food assistance in their region, playing a crucial role in helping individuals, families, seniors, and children.

Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano

Each month, the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano distributes enough emergency and supplemental food to provide 2.7 million meals. Many of their neighbors are unable to make ends meet and the Food Bank helps them cover one of life’s basic needs — nutritious food. They strive to serve all people experiencing hunger or food insecurity in Solano and Contra Costa counties and commit to never turn anyone away.

Goodness Village is an affordable tiny home program that provides the Tri-Valley’s formerly unhoused neighbors a safe and supportive community to live independently, heal, and thrive. Their 28 tiny home neighborhood exists to provide program participants the opportunity for a Fresh Start to permanently exit the cycle of chronic homelessness. They accomplish this through three crucial facets of the Goodness Village program: Independent Living, Healing, and Thriving.

Mercy Retirement & Care Center - Mercy Brown Bag Program

"Seniors helping seniors" is at the heart of Mercy Brown Bag Program, supported by Elder Care Alliance’s Mercy Retirement & Care Center. For almost 40 years, our volunteers have lovingly filled and distributed bags of fresh produce, healthy grains, canned goods, lean proteins and more. They sort, pack and distribute groceries to 66 sites throughout Alameda County.
